Went here alone while me friend was at work for some breakfast after a late night. The place is small and I imagine it gets busy on Sunday mornings. There is a bunch of tables around the perimeter and a bar with stools at the back. I was greeted as I entered and was told to sit "wherever was most comfortable." The waitresses were extremely friendly even highlighting places to see in Lake Mills for the couple next to me that was celebrating their anniversary. My order was taken quickly and I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup from that point on. And I drink coffee. I ordered a skillet off the breakfast menu it was around $7.75 (one of the highest priced menu items) It came in 3 minutes. I kid you not. My eggs were cooked perfectly to order and the food was great overall.

Very quaint cafe. Friendly staff. My 2 egg Breakfast W/ Rye Toast & American Fries was excellent. Over easy egg's were cooked to perfection! The coffee was a little weak for my taste... And my wife's pancake was a bit underwhelming... Crumbly, almost like it was from a mix. Other than that, we had a fantastic experience. If you have never been to Lake Mills, make time to do so soon. Check out the Café on the park, and then wander around a beautiful little town. You won't regret the drive.

Cafe on the Park is the typical small town diner. Their ownership has changed over the years, but the place looks pretty much the same as it did when I was growing up. They have good omelettes. Most of the menu items are pretty good. I've been here for lunch too, but it is much better for breakfast.

New management same good food. The only thing that has changed is the names on the menu. I cant really tell if anything else is different. Service is still good, as the place is small and can be covered by about 2 people. The skillets are large and will fill just about anyone up. My friends really like the burgers here, however, I am not sure if these have changed with the new management. Lake Mills relies a lot on seasonal patrons and tourist (flatlanders), its pretty much the only place we ever eat breakfast in Lake Mills. It always seems like they are struggling a little bit but I really hope they survive. So go here and help out the owners, who make good, inexpensive, food!

NOTE: This place changed ownership as of Labor Day 2012. Since then I have been in this establishment at most 5 times. Not once was I happy. This place has really lost out since Anne left. What a shame. Anne and her whole staff really added personality to that area of downtown Lake Mills. I highly recommend Lake Mills Family Restaurant on the North side of town on Mulberry Street also known as Hwy A. Not been disappointed since I began dining there.

I visited this establishment for breakfast and it was what I expected of a small town diner. The meal was delivered promptly and the experience was enjoyable. I hope to visit this establishment in the near future to try out some of the other menu items.

Let's just say that the food they serve here, I would not feed to my own dogs. You are better off driving to McDonald's.
